ABOut THIS TREND

Flat Design was the more drastic swiss international. Even less ornamentation. Less is more taken to the extreme. The trend kicked off shortly after Apple switched from glass morphism to the pioneer of the flat style. The trend peaked around 2013, when it split into the hipster trend, a new edition of the hippie trend & dopamine trend. The business corporate style (facebook) and the low poly style (Hurricane Festival) developed out of it.

As a reaction to the reduction, Y2K emerged as a counter-trend.
